To Build or Not To Build Survey Results

The recent survey from the Strategic Growth Planning Committee at Trinity Lutheran School asked for participants to provide their feedback on the possibility of expanding the school facility to accommodate our growing needs. These needs include additional Early Childhood space, more space for band, music, PE, and art classes, playground expansion/upgrade, parking and storage.

The survey was available online, and in hardcopy form, for just over three weeks and was distributed to approximately 730 email inboxes.  The survey was also presented at the March 2021 Trinity Lutheran Church voter’s meeting.

The level of response received, for this type of a survey, was right around the 30-35% response rate norm. Thank you to everyone who took a few minutes to read the narrative and respond to our question.  Below are the results from the survey.

I like what I have read about the building project and support moving forward
with a capital campaign in the spring of 2022, and look forward to additional
details being shared at a later date.                                                                       141   83.4%

I am hesitant to support Trinity entering into a capital campaign and building
project in 2022 (campaign) – 2024 (building). I am not comfortable with the current
timeline, but I might support the project at a later date.                                     17  10.1%

I do not believe Trinity should enter into a capital campaign and build/add-on
to the school building.                                                                                                       11   6.5%

What’s next?  The Strategic Growth Planning Committee will stay focused on growing the present ministries at Trinity Lutheran Church and School.  This includes sharing God’s Word with the community through our church and school, and especially reaching the unchurched families at our school.  The mission field is right here!  The Strategic Growth Planning Committee will continue to share ideas and ask for input.  The next opportunity to do so will be at the Monday, May 10 TLC voter’s meeting.
