Trinity Lutheran School Enrollment

Dear Parents,

Planning is well underway for the 2019-2020 school year.  Our enrollment continues to grow.  Kindergarten through eighth grade classes will be capped at 24 students so that we may continue to provide a quality academic experience for all of our students.*

Your family is important to us at Trinity Lutheran School, and we are glad that your children are students at TLS.  We want to be able to assure your child a spot in Trinity Lutheran School for the 2019-2020 school year before enrollment is opened up to the community at large.

To secure your child’s spot in grades K-8 for next school year the first half, ($162.50) of the nonrefundable Consumables Fee ($325), is due February 1, 2019.  (You may pay in full at this time if you so choose.)

To secure your child’s spot in 3 year old preschool, 4 year old preschool or Alternative Kindergarten, the nonrefundable Consumables Fee of $100 must be paid by February 1.  Additional paperwork required by the State of Iowa and/or The Department of Human Services must be completed and accompany the Consumables Fee.  The required paperwork is available in the school office.

Two sessions of 3 year old preschool will be offered for the 2019-2020 school year:

  • Monday and Wednesday 8:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.            Capped at 18 students
  • Tuesday and Thursday 8:15 a.m. – 11;15 a.m.            Capped at 18 students

One session of 4 year old preschool will be offered:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:15 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.    Capped at 20 students

One session of Alternative Kindergarten will be offered:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 12:30 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.    Capped at 18 Students

On February 6, 2019 enrollment will be opened to the public.  After that we will not be able to guarantee spots in our respective classrooms.  The balance of the Consumables Fee for students in grades K-8 will be due May 1, 2019.

As enrollment increases and most of our classes approach the enrollment cap, requiring an earlier payment is the only way to reserve space for our current students.  We are sharing this information with you now so that you can plan ahead.

Please contact me with any questions you may have regarding the re-enrollment process.

Respectfully,

Mark Mueller

*The fifth grade presently has an enrollment of 29 students.  All of these students will be readmitted provided the first half of their 2019-2020 Consumables Fee is paid by February 1.
