Traffic Flow – Water Main

Posted on: April 13th, 2021 by Dana Freymark | No Comments

Dear Trinity Families,

We received word from the City of Cedar Rapids this morning that as of 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 7th Avenue will be closed at 15th Street to repair a broken water main.  (7th Avenue is the street that runs in front of the school.)

This will necessitate changing our traffic pattern while the work is being done.

Grades K, 1, 2: To help maintain a smooth traffic flow, vehicles should enter Murray Drive from 1st Avenue and park in the church parking lot.  When the students have been picked up, vehicles will exit through the school parking lot to 8th Avenue.

Grades 3, 4, 5: To help maintain a smooth traffic flow, vehicles should enter Murray Drive from 1st Avenue, go through the church parking lot and pick up students in front of the school as is normally done.  When the students have been picked up, vehicles will exit through the school parking lot to 8th Avenue.

Grades 6, 7, 8:   Vehicles entering Murray Drive from 1st Avenue should continue through the school parking lot to drop off students at their normal spot.

We will have school staff helping to assist with the traffic flow.  While it may be an inconvenience for some of us, if we all follow the above procedures, we can maintain a smooth traffic flow.  Thank you for your help with this!
