TLS Matching Fund Challenge!

TLS has a generous, alumni donor who will match up to $5,000 so we can purchase brand new iPads for our 2021-2022 sixth grade class.  Why do they sixth graders need iPads?  Our entire middle school requires students have an iPad for daily learning and meeting technology curriculum standards.

TLS’s Current Middle School Technology Program

Trinity’s middle school students are required to provide an ipad for daily assignments and technology lessons during the school year. The Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program began four years ago to give our students the opportunity of integrating their daily use of technology into the academic career, and provide them the opportunity to fully complete projects and assignments. The BYOD program has proven successful, however, TLS would like to improve the equality and safety of the program by providing students the use of school owned devices.

Object of Matching Program for Technology

The goal of this program is to support the development of digital citizenship within TLS middle school students. Specifically, the program will lead to an increase in digital equity for students by decreasing barriers to access and increasing interaction with digital content. An additional objective is to decrease the distractions on personally owned devices so focus remains on positive, educational advancements using technology.

Get Involved!

A donor has the unique opportunity to improve digital equity for the students and partner with instructors to have a long, lasting positive impact a student’s technology proficiency.
