We are aware of possible storms in our region today, and we do have areas in each building to shelter in place if necessary.

If we are in an active tornado warning during dismissal time and are sheltering in place, we will delay dismissal until the warning has passed. All staff will be sheltering in place as well, so please note that until the warning would pass we would not be allowing students to leave. We will communicate with you through via Procare, Remind app and email if this happens.

If parents are at school when the active tornado warning sounds, we will have you shelter in the school.

ESA portal opens TODAY, Tuesday, April 16 for the 2024-2025 school year.

Education Savings Accounts (ESA) will be available for all Kindergarten students, new students to Trinity, all students who qualified in 2023-2024, and current families whose Iowa taxable income is at or below 400% of the 2024 Poverty Level, based on Line 4 of their 2023 Iowa tax return. The ESAs are provided by the State of Iowa through your tax dollars, and provide funding to pay tuition. The legislature has approved $7,826 per K-12 student for 2024-2025. We encourage all families to learn more about ESAs.

ESA Application Process through your Odyssey account. (Jan. 2024: Link has changed)
Here’s what you need to know:
1. Log into your Odyssey account to apply for 2024-2025. The 2024-25 applications will be accepted from 8:00 AM on April 16 through 11:59 PM on June 30, 2024.
(New users will create a new account; families who received funds for 2023-24 must still apply)
2. After approval, you must select the school your student will attend. Trinity confirms that your student is enrolled, and records their total tuition on Odyssey.
3. You must confirm the tuition amount with Odyssey (last year this was done in July and August).
4. In January, you must confirm the second half of tuition with Odyssey.

THANK YOU for your Hy-Vee receipts! On Friday, April 12 we turned in three boxes with $778,495.94 worth of receipts. Wow! That’s a tremendous amount of adding up of receipts by our volunteers. Thank you to everyone who helped with that task.

The school will receive $3,892.48 from the Hy-Vee for our participation in the Cash for Students receipt program.

KEEP SAVING your receipts dated April 1, 2024-March 31, 2025! Drop them off in the blue bin located outside the front doors at TLS at any time! We are already adding them up for next year’s Cash for Students program.

TLS students participated in the IDE Spelling Bee in Williamsburg, IA, on Saturday, April 13th. Our team was represented by the following students from Grades 3-8: Kylen, Aly Kay, Makenzie, Brady, Brad, Mercy, Alexis, Natalie, and LeaRuth. TLS placed first in the competition with an overall team score of 615 points. This is a spelling bee record! Additionally, the following students received individual trophies in their division: LeaRuth (8th Grade) 1st place, Natalie (7th Grade) 2nd place, and Mercy (6th Grade) 2nd place. Congratulations!
